Jay Koback, LEED AP BD+C

Jay is a Design Director and Global Consumer Goods Leader based in Gensler’s Minneapolis office. With more than 30 years of experience, he has worked in Gensler offices across the U.S. including Washington D.C., Chicago, and Portland, building an impressive portfolio ranging from complex public spaces to commercial interiors.

Known for his unique integration of spatial design, planning, materials selection, and detailing, Jay is also routinely credited by clients for his visual communication skills, illustrating the design process in a straightforward, accessible way. He has previously led the firm’s efforts in product design, working with manufacturers including Stylex and Halcon, as well as creating custom solutions for law firms and other workplace clients.
