As organizations continue to prioritize the importance of team-based collaboration, bringing business units under one roof has become a key strategy for sparking innovation while cultivating a cutting-edge, forward-looking company culture. Simultaneously, a strategic workplace approach can create new opportunities for embedding the latest inclusivity and accessibility features to better attract and retain talent.
Undertaken as part of the strategic expansion and repositioning of the One Madison Avenue office tower, the IBM workplace creates a 270,000-square-foot office that collects all of IBM’s previously siloed business units around Manhattan and anchoring them in a future-forward, cohesive home in the heart of Silicon Alley. This hub centralizes their New York City workforce in an inclusive, hospitality-driven workplace with views of Madison Square Park where employees, clients, and partners can come together to collaborate.
The IBM NYC Flagship is an innovation engine that showcases groundbreaking ideas in a community-driven workplace celebrating IBM’s forward-looking culture. From the striking light sculpture in the ground floor lobby marking IBM’s presence in the Flatiron District to the mezzanine level bar and upper-level work-enabled terrace offering multisensory connections to the city, IBM’s NYC Flagship reestablishes the company’s footprint in the city, while boosting team collaboration, productivity, and engagement.
