Amazon HQ2 Brand Design

Arlington, Virginia

The experiential graphics at Amazon HQ2 Metropolitan Park — spanning 2.1 million square feet across two 22-story towers — celebrate the remarkable people, culture, and natural beauty that define the Washington D.C. region. Brand messages, regional fun facts, and company voices are woven throughout, emphasizing Amazon’s culture of curiosity by providing rewarding moments of revelation, and instilling a sense of belonging and discovery.

The north tower takes its inspiration from the National Mall and the surrounding icons of history, hope, music, art, learning, and legends that make this region so rich with character, re-contextualizing familiar objects to give them refreshed relevance. Through a graphic narrative, Amazon HQ2’s south tower celebrates the natural beauty of the area’s diverse ecosystem and its unique activities and experiences, encouraging workers and visitors alike to engage with their natural surroundings.
