Zhen Cheng, RA, LEED AP

Zhen is a Client Relationships Leader and Co-Studio Director at Gensler with over 20 years of architectural design and project management experience. He is a New York State Registered Architect and LEED AP. During his career, he has lived and worked in New York City and Shanghai, with both experiences informing his design and his design ambition to minimize the environmental impact while enhancing the human experience in the space. He presents a diverse portfolio, spanning retail architecture, office towers, luxury hotels, and urban planning projects.

Zhen’s collaborative leadership style and team-building skills have been key to his career success. Leveraging his outstanding communication and coordination skills, he consistently delivers customized and unique design solutions that speak to the needs of the client and delivers projects on time and within budget, while achieving exemplary design performance. Zhen received his Bachelor of Architecture from Shanghai Jiaotong University and Master of Architecture from North Carolina State University.
