Todd Pilgreen, AIA, LEED AP BD+C

Mixed Use & Retail Centers Leader, Retail & Consumer Experience Leader, Principal

Todd is the APME Regional Practice Area Leader for the Mixed Use & Retail Centers and Retail & Consumer Experience practice areas, based in Gensler’s Dubai office. During his six years at Gensler, Todd has worked as Co-Managing Director of the Shanghai office. In addition to providing outstanding client and project leadership, he has also been a trusted mentor and effective coach for his Shanghai colleagues. Todd is based in the Middle East but will also spread his expertise across APME.

Todd has been instrumental in growing the Mixed Use & Retail Centers practice in Greater China, with built projects including Fosun Taicang Retail Entertainment Complex, China Merchants Group Zhanjiang Cruise City Development, China Merchants Group Shanghai Caolu Garden City Shopping Center, IMS Tianxiaxiu Behai Ithaka, and Shanghai’s heritage Wujiang Road Experience Repositioning. He is a licensed architect in the State of California, an Executive Committee member, past Founder and Chair of the Design Excellence Awards of the American Institute of Architects Shanghai Chapter, Shanghai Executive Committee and incoming Global Governing Trustee (GGT) for Urban Land Institute, and a LEED AP BD+C. He received his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of New Mexico and his Master of Architecture from the University of California Los Angeles.
