Omar Quesada
Design Director, Senior Associate
Omar is a leader in Gensler’s Sports practice for the Latin America region, and brings passion and experience in designing sports facilities as well as learning environments. His research exploring how educational spaces can evolve in the new century has led to speaking engagements at conferences such as the 4th International Congress of Transdisciplinary, Complexity, and Eco-formation in 2010, as well as TEDx Pura Vida ED in 2012 and 2019.
After winning the Chevening Scholarship in 2013, Omar relocated to London where he completed his Master’s degree in Emergent Technologies and Design at the Architectural Association School of Architecture. Following his time working at Gensler London, Omar relocated to Gensler’s Costa Rica offices, where he leads design for the Sports, Entertainment, Education, and Government practice areas for the Latin America region. In addition, Omar teaches at the School of Architecture of University of Costa Rica (UCR).
