Andrew Jacobs
Design Director, Senior Associate
Andrew is a Design Director in Gensler’s D.C. office and an accomplished designer of sports facilities of various types and sizes. He has been the lead designer and consultant for stadia expansions, collegiate athletics facilities, FIFA training facilities, and stadiums across various parts of the world. He began his career in sports at Rosser International in Atlanta, where he was a Vice President of Sports Architecture. As both a native of Pittsburgh and an Auburn University graduate, Andrew has an appreciation for the passion of sports and the impact they have on the community. He is a die-hard fan of both his hometown and collegiate sports teams and was fortunate enough to witness what he considers two of the greatest plays in recent history.
Andrew’s dedication to thoughtful design can be seen in numerous projects, such as the End Zone Renovation at Florida State’s Doak Campbell Stadium, and the Stadium Expansion at Georgia Southern University. His designs are innovative, yet mindful of the craft of construction. His firm grasp on construction methods and applications helps inform his design choices. An avid traveler, he has visited many countries around the world including Austria, France, Qatar, and the UAE.
