Verizon Innovation Center

San Francisco, California

The Verizon Innovation Center showcases the company’s forward-thinking commitment to building the future rather than waiting for it. Verizon’s new San Francisco home, created by an integrated team of Gensler San Francisco and Digital Experience designers, leverages insights from its successful Innovation Center in Boston, designed by Gensler New York. Located at 360 Spear, Verizon’s new dynamic hub extends the flexible storytelling model to deliver a best-in-class Innovation Center and workplace that inspires and empowers workers while also immersing partners in the power of the latest technologies through interactive demo spaces.

Gensler re-purposed an old data center into a people-centric environment, balancing immersive touchpoints with local, tactile material, curated amenities, and responsive design. Activations encompass an augmented 5G server room as well as immersive storytelling platforms, such as a digital passageway and a panoramic media canvas. Flexible, modular design allows for transformable workshop spaces, custom-tailored journeys, spaces that support diverse work styles, and a 5G lab that enables collaboration for prototyping and workshopping with staff focused on driving innovation.
