Relevant Group has enlisted Gensler to develop three residential high-rises in downtown Los Angeles, each with its own expressive design. The series of high-rises will be constructed using both conventional and modular building methods. Conventional construction will offer an advantage for site-specific elements, like lobbies and amenities, while the residences will be constructed using prefabricated modules. Leveraging prefabricated modules is particularly useful for population-dense and challenging sites, reducing the disruption to the surrounding communities. This also increases the speed to market while significantly reducing pollution and waste, and allows for flexibility with the ability to disassemble parts for reuse, reconfiguration, or recycling.
