Nanjing World Trade Center

This mixed-use project occupies one of four sites within a spine of new commercial and residential developments in the proposed Nanjing Hexi CBD.  Comprising retail, an office tower, condos and apartments, the complex is emblematic of Nanjing’s historic position as a significant trade city, within modern China. The design incorporates walkable outdoor shopping streets, landscaped plazas that symbolically cross streets and unite retail, dynamic atriums and separately branded pavilions that provide orientation within the site. The composition —anchored around a shared central park— knots together the natural environment outside with the built retail environment of the interior.
