ITC Yamuna Hotel
Noida, India
Located just outside New Delhi, the new ITC Yamuna Hotel draws design inspiration from the nearby Yamuna River, an important regional landmark originating from the Yamunotri glacier in the lower Himalayas. The hotel massing is a symbolic gesture toward the Himalayas to the north and the flowing water that travels from the glacier to the flourishing garden below. Steep terraces are incorporated throughout by a series of staircases and decks, while water features accent the tranquility garden connecting the exterior and interior spaces. Included in Gensler’s initial design approach is a future phase that integrates a second tower onto the site, completing the overall master plan and architectural expression of the hotel.
