High Street Place
Boston, Massachusetts
High Street Place is a food hall featuring 20 unique vendors in the heart of Boston’s Financial District. Previously an underutilized atrium connecting two Class A office towers, Gensler partnered with the Rockpoint Group to transform the 18,000-square-foot space into a vibrant culinary destination. The food hall’s meandering design is inspired by a lively Parisian street scene, with Art Deco details such as brushed brass sconces, street signs, and custom stone and marble reminiscent of the building’s original design era. Communal tables, cozy banquettes, bar-style perches, and high-top tables offer a range of seating styles. In warmer months, a retractable wall system allows the hospitality space to open up for outdoor dining.
Key features of the soaring space include a three-story green wall with 3,800 twinkle lights and an oversized LED video wall. Pristine white subway tiles provide a blank canvas for vendors to personalize and showcase their culinary concepts. Throughout the space, custom art adorns the walls, including floor-to-ceiling mural art inspired by Boston’s rich culinary scene.
