The renowned furniture designer and manufacturer’s European headquarters combines office and showroom space to explore new ways of working in a sustainable facility. Sensitive landscape design complements the pavilion-style building, incorporating a palette of native species that contribute to the site’s BREAM Excellent and LEED® Gold ratings, while also creating a visually rich environment for workers and an ecological amenity for the surrounding community. The carefully considered scheme not only reduces maintenance costs, it echoes the rural character of the site, incorporating local materials, passive drainage techniques, and protection, wherever possible, of existing trees and vegetation.
