Goodyear

Akron, Ohio

Goodyear, the last remaining tire maker in the United States, enlisted Gensler to help the company transition from its manufacturing roots and consumer-products focus to a company that deals in solutions. Working closely with the Goodyear team, Gensler designed a new global headquarters and refreshed campus to house and signal the change, while retaining a conscious regard for the company’s golden past. The headquarters, adjoining Goodyear’s historic red brick Innovation Center, increases collaborative opportunities and encourages socialization among employees. The company’s dedication to recruiting and sustaining talent is evident in its amenities including dining, conference centers, training rooms, a fitness center and a parking structure accommodating up to 1,400 cars.
