Cummins Beijing Headquarters

To align with changes to its global office model, Cummins partnered with Gensler to design its Beijing office in LSH Center, Tower B. With the strategy provided by CBRE, Gensler proposed a modular design based on the latest design trends and the current state of the site location, which can be readily adapted in the future to meet different spatial needs. The design concept for the workplace is inspired by Cummins’ slogan, “Power the world,” and walking through the hub area is akin to a motor that gathers employees to generate energy. Different areas are defined by the colors of the five states, which also serve as wayfinding signage. The design addresses the space’s limited height by incorporating an open ceiling and integrated MEP design to maintain a sense of openness.
