Housing 500+ employees working 24/7 shifts, all focused on cutting-edge surgical technologies that will change lives,  this robotics site offers a range of workspaces as diverse as its teams and roles. The project coalesces around a concept of forging resilient bonds, both a metaphor for the revolutionary healing enabled by robot-assisted surgery, as well as literally empowering the confidential client’s commitment to relationships within the company and with its partners. Spaces are meant to facilitate partnership and collaborative thinking through environments that reinforce trust and teamwork.

The driving purpose of this confidential client’s site is to develop a design that celebrates and catalyzes innovation. The project provides a range of workplace options to support sales, ongoing service, and surgical consultation to care providers, and it also features a variety of specialized areas such as R&D labs, simulation spaces, and a robot assembly floor.

The design is expressed through a simple palette and clean aesthetic that embodies both a high-tech feeling and surgical precision. The large spatial volumes and sweeping uses of contrasting monochromes and bold color underscore the company’s earned trust and status as a proud global brand, and reflects the life-changing work done here.
