Capital One McLean Block A

Block A is part of Capital One’s growing headquarters campus in McLean, Virginia, designed to attract and retain the brightest associates. While the original master plan slated the Block A site to be one singular mass of a building, from the very start, Gensler proposed something radically different. Instead, the Gensler team envisioned a base building featuring two distinct towers connected by a striking glass atrium. Demonstrating its commitment to innovation, Capital One embraced the new design, which enables the structure to become the beating heart of the dynamic, mixed-use campus. As a result, Block A became the second tallest of the current five buildings located across the Capital One Center campus, creating an inspiring new space that welcomes over 3,000 associates and their clients to gather, collaborate, and innovate.
