Broadcom
Irvine, California
For its new corporate headquarters campus, global technology leader Broadcom sought a workplace that encouraged informal interactions, reflected its culture, and inspired its employees. Working across multi-offices, Gensler designed the campus and interiors to represent Broadcom's commitment to Orange County and desire to attract and retain top talent. Business units are located close by in two primary buildings. In moving from a 100% enclosed office to a work environment that's 99.5% open, the firm reduced square footage, while significantly increasing meeting and conference space. Taking a cue from chip design and its information flow, floor plates were designed to maximize connectivity. The headquarters design also provides an inviting customer and visitor experience to showcase Broadcom’s brand and identity, while connecting with its larger local community.
