Barnes & Thornburg, a young, thriving law firm that has experienced incredible recent growth, worked with Gensler to reimagine its new offices in San Diego. The new workplace incorporates the varying voices of its legal office and creates a modern, welcoming environment that feels like a second home. The law firm's office design focuses on creating a series of inviting spaces that seamlessly flow into one another, with dual functions for large social gatherings with clients, in a workplace that emphasizes the breathtaking views beyond. The interior offices were designed to create neighborhoods that are carved at the building’s corners with cozy seating areas defined by curvaceous high-back banquettes and nautical-themed light fixtures — a nod to the San Diego Harbor, located just footsteps away.
