Seeking to renovate its nondescript five-story campus office building to house its sales and marketing groups, supplemental insurance provider Aflac started with a relatively blank canvas. The Gensler design team used the benefit of branding to design the embodiment of Aflac’s personality and actively represent “where the Duck lives.” Along with this injection of charm and wit, designers also renovated the lobby, created a new gym and transformed the generic cafeteria into a lively multi-purpose space. A new fourth-floor conference center has become the most-used amenity on Aflac’s Columbus campus.
