Vivian is a gifted and award-winning architect with more than 30 years of experience translating design excellence to communities around the world. As a Principal and Design Director based in Gensler’s New York office, she leads creative vision with aesthetically balanced, practical solutions that drive sustainability and human-centric spaces across commercial, residential, education, and cultural projects.

Vivian’s passion for design is seen in her work and in her mentorship of students and emerging architects. Through her experience as the past AIA New York Women in Architecture Committee Co-Chair, she developed programs and events to promote design and professional development, helping advance women to leadership roles. She additionally served as the Director of Design Excellence on the AIA New York Board of Directors from 2021 to 2024, and is a frequent panelist at industry events and a design critic for academic project reviews. She was a juror for the AIA National Latrobe Prize, a grant awarded for research in significant advances to the architecture profession, and has participated on various AIA Chapters design award juries. From her early life in Taiwan and Paraguay, to her professional practice in the U.S., China, and Italy, Vivian’s experiences are a boundless collection of cultures, histories, and consciousness. Her exemplary design portfolio awarded her elevation to the American Institute of Architects College of Fellows, and her project achievements are models in the built environment.
