Thomas Williams, AIA, LEED AP

Tom is the Residential leader for Gensler’s APME region and the Studio Director of Gensler Middle East’s Lifestyle practice, focused on hospitality and branded residential projects. A licensed architect in the state of Hawaii with more than 25 years of global experience, Tom leads hospitality and design projects across master planning, ultra-luxury resorts, and high-rise urban mixed-use developments. His expertise encompasses resorts, urban hotels, boutique properties, residential developments, entertainment venues, as well as culture and art complexes throughout diverse geographic regions, including North America, Asia, and South East Asia.

Tom primarily focuses on directing and managing his studio while working with a global production team. His capabilities extend beyond the conceptual realm to technical working drawings and direct client management. With a rich background in architecture, hospitality management, and graphic design, he is able to bring a unique professional view to projects and deliver out-of-the-box design solutions for his clients. He continues to pursue his passion for hospitality and design in various parts of the world, having lived and worked in Honolulu, Seattle, Singapore, and currently Dubai.
