Shary Adams, OAA, AIA, EDAC, NCARB, ACHA

As the Healthcare Leader for Gensler’s Northeast region, Shary brings more than 35 years of experience in designing and planning for large healthcare systems. She is committed to helping organizations expand their services, and to developing new strategies and innovations to improve treatment for those in need of complex medical and mental healthcare.

Throughout her career, Shary has partnered with clinicians, administrators, patients, and community members to gather in-depth knowledge to plan design solutions that promote exceptional patient care. A graduate of the University of Toronto, Shary is a licensed architect, medical planner, EDAC-accredited professional, and board-certified American College of Healthcare Architect.

After a notable career abroad, Shary returned to her roots in Canada and joined Gensler in 2024 to lead the Healthcare Practice in the region together with Gensler’s global Healthcare design experts.
