Rocco Giannetti, FAIA, NOMA

Regional Managing Principal

Rocco Giannetti, FAIA, is a Managing Principal of Gensler’s Northeast Region. He is an innovative architect with over 35 years of experience who has embodied Gensler’s inclusive culture while crafting the next generation of high-performance workplaces. In his role as Managing Principal, he oversees offices in New York, Boston, Morristown, NJ, and Toronto. A previous member of the firm’s Board of Directors, Rocco currently advises the board’s Equity and Inclusion committee.  

A trusted advisor to clients such as JPMorgan Chase, Morgan Stanley, and Citigroup, Rocco has led a number of high-profile New York City projects including headquarters and workplaces for The New York Times, Bank of America, Condé Nast, WarnerMedia, and EY. He is currently leading Gensler’s work on the interiors for JPMorgan Chase’s new headquarters in New York and Morgan Stanley’s “Re Imagine” campus in midtown Manhattan. His leadership has resulted in spaces that enhance experience, attract new talent, and integrate wellness and resiliency.  

Dedicated to community service and youth development, Rocco is part of the BSA Exploring Advisory Committee and is a past honoree of the St. Francis Food Pantries’ Community Star Award. He was recognized on the Crain’s New York Business Notable LGBTQ Leaders and Executives List in 2021. An active member of the New York Chapter of the AIA, and a former Chair of the Interiors Committee, Rocco currently serves on its Board of Directors and Executive Committee. He was elevated to the AIA College of Fellows in 2018. He is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council and the Building Energy Exchange Advisory Council. Rocco holds his Bachelor of Architecture from Pratt Institute, and his Master of Architecture from Princeton University.
