Kristin Byrd, AIA, NCARB

Kristin is a registered architect and a Design Director for Gensler’s Sports practice, based in Austin. Driven by her lifelong interest in health and wellness, Kristin designs sports projects with an eye on performance, athletic experience, and balance. She has more than 20 years of experience and a broad range of knowledge with complex projects across the sports, convention centers, and aviation industries. In her current role, she is focused on space planning and programming for sports and recreation projects, conceptualizing and realizing premium products for sports hospitality spaces, and leading and empowering teams to create innovative and unique design solutions.

In 2022, Kristin was recognized by the Sports Business Journal with the Gamechanger Award for women who are innovators and trailblazers at the forefront of their careers in the sports industry. She holds a Master of Architecture with emphasis in Architecture & the Urban Condition from School of Architecture at Syracuse University in Florence, Italy, and a Bachelor of Architecture from California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo.
