Jerry Alexander

Jerry is a Co-Managing Director of Gensler’s Houston office. With more than 30 years of mixed-use, retail, master planning, strategy and brand design experience, he brings a holistic strategy to his clients’ needs. Jerry utilizes his multidisciplined approach across many project types, including brand identity, environmental graphics, hospitality, industrial, mixed-use, packaging, product design, and retail/restaurant development. His innovative process and unique design solutions yield genuine experiences and long-term success for his clients.

For 20 years, Jerry founded and co-led Acumen Design, a creative branding agency based in Houston. He earned his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin and his Master of Architecture from the University of California, Los Angeles. Jerry now considers himself a “recovering architect,” who speaks to both disciplines seamlessly.
