Global Director of Large Projects, Principal
In his role as Global Director of Large Projects, Grant brings a strategic design focus coupled with proven senior leadership, client relationships, project management acumen, and industry-leading expertise in large, highly complex projects. He previously served as Co-Regional Managing Principal of Gensler’s North Central region, and prior as a Chicago Office Managing Director, a leader of the firm’s Mixed-Use / Entertainment and Critical Facilities practices, and a Project Management Firmwide leader.
Grant has more than three decades of design experience in corporate headquarters, mixed-use developments, adaptive reuse, and repositioning projects across the globe — including the world-renowned Shanghai Tower, for which he served as executive project director. He also led the 2.8 million-square-foot redevelopment of Chicago’s Post Office.
Grant is a Trustee and past president of the AIA Chicago Foundation Board and is also a past president of AIA Chicago. He serves on the Board of Directors for World Business Chicago and is an active member of the Economic Club of Chicago, the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat, the University Club of Chicago, and a Product Council Member with ULI Chicago. A Fellow of the American Institute of Architects, Grant received his Bachelor of Architecture from Iowa State University and studied architecture and urban design at the University of Bath, England.
