As Co-Regional Managing Principal of Gensler’s Southeast region, Francisco is an award-winning architect who leverages his experience to help clients understand the critical links between workplace design, real estate performance, and business operations. Seeking to elevate not only his clients’ specific project objectives but also their cultures and business performance, Francisco drives real estate solutions that are cross-pollinated with insights from multiple industries and areas of focus, including brand design and consulting. Recognizing that commercial real estate is at a watershed moment, he advocates for clients to test out new space types and stay at the forefront of change.

In his additional role as Co-Managing Director of Gensler’s Washington, D.C. office, Francisco continues to elevate talent, refine strategy, enhance performance, and deliver exceptional client service. Backed by over 25 years of experience, Francisco has led iconic projects such as the Marriott International Headquarters, the Terrell Place Repositioning, Amazon HQ2, and offices for multiple AM Law 100 firms. Over the past several years, Francisco has collaborated with Washington, DC’s leaders to address some of the city’s most profound challenges, transforming them into opportunities for innovation and creating meaningful impact on the city.

Francisco is a trustee and leadership committee member of the Federal City Council, an active member of the Golden Triangle Business Improvement District, and a member of Gensler’s Global Inclusion Committee. With a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Maryland and a Master’s in Architecture from Catholic University, he thrives at the intersection of business and creativity.
