Erik is an architect and Regional Design Resilience & Sustainability Leader in Gensler’s Boston office. He is a dedicated advocate for environmentally conscientious design and provides valuable insight on combining the aesthetic and technical dimensions of design in a way that drives sustainability and resilience in the built environment. Erik leads the firmwide mass timber group, the ‘Gensler Mass Timber Collaborative’ and advises on mass timber projects globally, including NEXT Labs and Proto-Model X for Sidewalk Labs. He is an Adjunct Professor at Wentworth Institute of Technology, where he teaches graduate level courses on mass timber and sustainable design. Erik holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Design from Bates College and a Master of Architecture Degree from the University of Oregon.
