Erica Sturges
Global Director of Executive Communications, Principal
Erica is Gensler’s Global Director of Executive Communications based in the firm’s Los Angeles office. She leads a talented team of communications managers, strategists, and designers focused on both internal and external communications in support of co-CEOs Andy Cohen and Diane Hoskins. Erica works with integrated teams across all of Gensler’s leadership communities, driving toward the same mission to create a better world through the power of design.
Erica began her Gensler career in Los Angeles’s Workplace practice where she started as a studio coordinator. She has seen many career transitions throughout her time at Gensler and has had countless opportunities to work on great projects with great people. During her Gensler career, she has been involved in local Community Impact efforts and served on the Community Impact Steering Committee for over a decade.
Erica is passionate about helping people and has served on Planned Parenthood’s Young Professionals group where she planned fundraising events, in addition to UCLA where she volunteered as the Clinical Services Director, Public Relations Director, and listener for the UCLA Peer Helpline. She also spent her early career working as a Behavior Modification Therapist with the Center for Autism and Related Disorders, where she practiced Applied Behavioral Analysis with young children on the spectrum. More recently, she has turned her focus to fundraising for organizations in support of Cancer and MS Research as well as being an advocate for transgender youth.
