As a Principal, Bert leads all of the practice areas across the Northwest Region, bringing strategic vision and technical excellence to design solutions. His portfolio spans sciences, tech, hospitality, professional services, and financial services sectors, where he consistently delivers innovative solutions for his clients. Distinguished for his comprehensive approach to project delivery, Bert strategically integrates end-of-project technical requirements and operational considerations from the earliest planning stages. This forward-thinking methodology ensures seamless transitions from design and construction to occupancy, with particular expertise to specialized environments with complex systems.
A registered architect in California and Wisconsin, Bert earned his BA in Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley, is an active member of the AIA, IIDA, and CoreNet Global, and serves as a Committee Chair for DIFFA San Francisco, which raises money for the SF General Hospital Ward 86, providing services to people living with HIV/AIDS.
