Antoine Bryant, A.AIA, APA, NOMA

With more than 25 years of experience in design, planning, and development, Antoine Bryant has focused his career on community engagement and empowerment in cities across the US. Reinforced by his background in public, private, and nonprofit sectors, he believes that residents of disenfranchised neighborhoods must have a voice in the revitalization and growth of their communities.
Antoine is dedicated to Detroit and the region and has built strong partnerships and led impactful projects across the metro area. He formerly served as the Director of Planning & Development for the City of Detroit, where he championed the collective support of residents, businesses, and public stakeholders to propel the equitable development of the city forward.
As an advocate for diversity in the industry, Antoine supports the inclusion, mentorship, and elevation of designers and planners of color, offering his leadership to numerous organizations. He is on the Board of Directors for the National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA), serving as the Director of Strategic Partnerships, and was appointed to the ACE National Board of Directors. Additionally, Antoine was Health Equity Co-Chair for the International WELL Building Institute and was previously a part of the American Institute of Architects’ National Diversity Committee. He has a master’s degree from the University of Texas and a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University, where he currently serves on the Advisory Board for the School of Architecture, Art, and Planning.
