Amy is a Studio Director and Building Transformation & Adaptive Reuse Leader for Gensler’s Northwest region, drawing inspiration from place-making through the creative and sustainable evolution of the built environment. With a background spanning theater set design, fine arts, museum exhibit design, architecture, and interior design, Amy’s diverse experience helps yield the highest value for her clients and teams. In 2024, she was appointed by former San Francisco Mayor London Breed to serve as Planning Commissioner for the City and County of San Francisco and is actively involved in ULI’s Local Product Council. A well-documented thought leader on downtown revitalization, Amy collaborates with local policy influencers, developers, investors, and building owners, and has been interviewed by The New York Times, the San Francisco Chronicle, and NBC Bay Area. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Indiana University Bloomington and a Master of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania.
