FINDINGS FROM THE U.S. WORKPLACE SURVEY
The latest U.S. Workplace Survey from the Gensler Research Institute identified a surprising shift in the reason workers want to return to the office: they are prioritizing focusing on getting work done.
In addition to needing effective spaces that support individual and virtual work, office workers are seeking a new mix of experiences. As our clients consider the future of their workplaces, our survey data lends timely insight into employees’ desire for choice, flexibility, and variety.
In this webinar, Gensler’s Global Director Workplace Research Janet Pogue McLaurin, Global Practice Area Community Leader Natalie Engels, Global Work Sector Leader Amanda Carroll, and Gensler Chicago Co-Managing Director Todd Heiser offer insights on the future of work, including:
- What’s working in offices where workers are returning
- What’s not working to support employee’s critical work activities
- What’s missing that may increase people’s willingness to return to office more often
Methodology: The Gensler Research Institute conducted an anonymous, panel-based survey of over 2,000 U.S. office workers between June 14, 2022 and August 7, 2022. Respondents excluded workers who had not yet returned to the office since the start of the pandemic.
