Erwin Penland Building

The Erwin Penland Building gives a new sense of place to Greenville and creates a new district and presence in the city’s downtown. Within the city block, Gensler developed several master plan studies that maximize the use and vibrancy of the lot. Located just off Main Street, near a popular park and river, the Erwin Penland Building attracts people with an end-loaded lobby and flexible ground floor retail and office space. A roundabout and courtyard in front of the building create a focal point that draws people toward the district.
