For this complex in-place renovation, Gensler repositioned a 40-year-old classic downtown highrise, significantly improving El Paso’s workplace in terms of daylight, flexibility and employee collaboration. Agile, modular workplace neighborhoods and a “kit of parts” allow each business unit to customize its own space. Much-needed podium amenities were added, including training and public meeting spaces, transforming the pedestrian and visitor experience. Moreover, the conversion of two mechanical floors to a floor-by-floor system reclaimed 30,000 usable square feet. Company operations continued without disruption during the course of the project.
