Confidential Financial Services Client

To support its rapid growth plan in India, this confidential client engaged Gensler to expand its Mumbai office, and to extend the global design guidelines developed from our work on its New York and London offices to the Mumbai location.

The new workplace for this financial services client is designed to promote collaboration across business units. Spread across three uppermost floors, the design maximizes daylight and offers employees access to impressive views of Mumbai city. A central street with collaboration zones strongly connects the east and west sides of the floorplate while simultaneously connecting to the vertical circulation cores. The amenities are located on the top floor, taking advantage of an expansive skylight and west-facing balcony, where employees can socialize while enjoying the Mumbai sunset. The new office’s aesthetic is uniquely rooted in its Mumbai surroundings while also complementing its other workplaces around the globe. Plans are currently underway to expand the campus to an additional lower floor.
