Building a Case for Change
To meet the challenge of convincing executive leadership of the need for expanded real estate as the client ran out of seats in the office, the client’s director of facilities leveraged data from Wisp. While there appeared to be several open desks and offices at first glance, capturing reliable space and occupancy data was tedious, however necessary, to accurately inform executives on space needs.
After uploading all data to Wisp, further analysis revealed the client was 18% over capacity within its portfolio — many occupied spaces were doubled up to support project teams. Gensler’s data analysis led to an authorization of 98,000 additional square feet to the portfolio with options to redesign the new space to support ongoing growth of the workforce.
