Technical Director, Design Realization Leader, Principal
A Technical Director in Gensler’s Washington, D.C. office, Laura has more than 20 years of industry experience in the design and delivery of building architecture and interior design projects. As a Design Realization Leader for the firm’s Southeast Region, she is responsible for setting policy on delivery standards, leading dialogue around critical delivery issues, connecting talent and ideas, and maintaining quality control standards. She has completed more than 6 million square feet of technical drawings, on-site building evaluations and document reviews, including compliance for accessibility standards and building codes. Responsible for the Gensler D.C. Learning Committee, Laura identifies programs that fill knowledge gaps and foster design synergy within the firm. For more than four years, Laura was one of the key Gensler team members on site at the Gaylord National Harbor Hotel project, where her technical capability and intimate knowledge of delivery standards helped position her as the ideal liaison to county officials and the contractor team. Laura received her Bachelor of Architecture from the Boston Architectural College and a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Oberlin College.
